It really does work!

Like a lot of other buyers I simply could not believe that a steam cleaner this cheap was any good. I toyed with buying one for twice or even three times as much and finally decided to just buy it.



And you know what? It really is a bargain. I used it to clean gunk out of difficult to reach corners to get out stains in my textured laminate kitchen floor that no amount of scrubbing would reach to remove baked-on stains on my oven that simply wouldn't come out with abrasive pads and soap to clean grout and a dozen other previously impossible tasks. Not only that but it comes with six different attachments all of which are very useful.



Is it perfect? No. A larger water capacity would be nice. So would a larger mop attachment and some extra mops. But given the low price the quality and how well it works it's a bargain.More detail ...

Everyone knows how useful a roll of duct tape is. But did you ever think how much more useful it would be if it didn't look so lousy? (I wish I had! Doh!)



They've had different color duct tape for a while - the white was handy for a lot of things. But that doesn't quite do it and they don't make every color and I'm not going to buy every color!



But the clear tape is almost like having a roll of every color - since it (somewhat) blends into whatever you use it for. So go ahead and use it on your running shoes your childrens' books (to repair the spine or stick down the popups again) and so many other new uses.



I can't vouch that it lasts as long outside as they claim it does (6x longer). And it is expensive - this is just 20 yards. So as mentioned when you're taping up ducts in the basement you're still probably going to want to use silver duct tape.



The Amazon description above is pretty accurate and useful if you want more info. By the way to find the end ... just run your fingernail around the roll you can feel the end. The tape is thick enough that works well enough.

Lotta love for this machine!

First let me say... I am an agonizer-analyzer. I read all of the reviews out there on Amazon and the web that I can find. I was down to this... the Shark vs. Wagner steamers. Both seemed similar in reviews... I saved $5 bucks by purchasing the Wagner. I received it 1 day earlier then expected. I opened the box and dug in (yes I am also a person that doesn't necessarily read the instructions... until I can't get something to work that is.) Guess what? EVERYTHING worked without reading the instructions. Note to the wise it is probably best if you do. I have since gone back to ensure I was operating the machine safely and correctly.



I LOVE IT! When people say in their reviews that they couldn't stop cleaning stuff it is SOOOOOO true. These are the things I have cleaned so far. 3 kitchen sinks. I couldn't believe how clean they became. They are all stainless and shining like mad. I really do believe they are clean enough to eat out of them (not that I would). I have granite counters with this itty bitty grout between the sinks and the counters. I didn't realize they used white grout... oh my gosh they look like they were just put in and they are 11 years old.



What else? Yes I didn't stop there. I went over to the stove. It is stainless steel with gas fixtures and iron grates. Do you know how many cleaners I have purchased for the black metal top that have never made it look like it was really totally clean? MANY MANY MANY. This machine did it! And I honestly have to say I didn't put any real elbow grease in at all. It lifted stains that I thought were permanent. It also removed a burn mark in the stainless steel which had been there for at least 3 years (with a lot of scrubbing that didn't take it away). And after using the machine it was really only a matter of wiping a little water residue away.



I really like the length of the handle/hose. I left it on top of one counter and was able to walk around the kitchen without worrying if the yellow beauty was going to fall off the counter or not reach where I wanted to take it. Gotta LOVE IT!



Ok the above were only a few things that I cleaned in the first 15 minutes of opening the box. I probably could have cleaned more but I figured I would save my joy for another day.



A few other comments... I read a review that it was loud to operate. The machine itself doesn't make any noise. It isn't like a motor is going while you are trying to clean. The only noise that is made is the high-pressure steam coming out of the nozzle. What do these people really expect? Hello.... It was music to my ears because of the clean-up it was doing. I can imagine that you wouldn't want to be locked in a small closed in space for long... but hey it didn't take that long to see it sparkle.



This truly is a great investment fun to use with FANTASTIC results.

Great Caulk Remover

I had 20 year old latex caulk on a fiberglass tub/shower unit which remained after removing the shower doors; it was like concrete! This stuff worked lik a charm but I had to leave it on for at least 24-36 hours (covered with plastic wrap) before I could scrape it off with a plastic scraper. They state it in Celcius because most people in America don't use Celcius or understand Celcius. -10 in Celcius is +14 in Fahrenheit. Excellent mask

I know this is a paint and pesticide mask but its a grat woodworking mask as well. I have been a avid woodworker for over 25 years and wish someone would have given me this mask long ago. Since I am not getting any younger and fine particle dust has become a real concern to woodworkers I believe this is an excellent mask if you do or do not use a central dust collection system while working with wood. I know there are cheapr masks out there that are rated for woodworking but do not filtrate down to the micron level of this respirator the replacement cartridges for this mask are resonable and it washes up with soap and water when needed.More detail ...

Comfortable & very effective

This mask is very comfortable and makes an excellent seal without having to make the straps too tight. It uses 3M's standard filters that also fit the 6000 series. I used it when cleaning metal with xylene and I couldn't even detect the odor. When I finished and then removed the mask even the residual odor on my clothes was incredible! I could not have done the job without it.

Not worth the extra money

I must be doing something wrong because this tape worked no better than the blue painter's tape you get at the hardware store. I still had plenty of leaks underneath the tape - no matter how carefully I applied and pressed it down. Last night I taped the room for the stripes I was painting and by this morning the tape was curling up and almost falling off in some places.



One bright spot in the first mess with this tape was that I did discover a very easy and almost foolproof way to get crisp lines for my stripes. I found this tip online. After taping the wall put a small bead of clear caulk on your finger and wipe the edge that you will be painting. After that take a barely wet cloth and wipe the edge clean so that there is no visible caulk. Let it dry and then paint your edge. The tiniest bit of caulk that is left under the tape edge is not visible but prevented the paint from leaking under the tape. It really works great!More detail ...

Be Careful What You Wish For

As the advertisements suggest this tape will stick to brick and virtually any other surface. Be careful though because it might just strip the paint upon removal. This was the painful lesson I learned when trying to temporarily hold some video cables to my wall and ceiling. Even when using a hair dryer to soften the adhesive I was not able to prevent the paint from getting ripped off no mater how gentle I was.



Despite my lack of success with the hair dryer the only area where I have seen Gorilla Tape fail is in moderately-high temperature applications. For example I wanted to use the tape to patch small leaks around the exhaust hose of a new portable air conditioner. The warm air would simply soften the adhesive over time causing it to fall off.



It would be nice if a version of Gorilla Tape had nylon filaments similar to strapping tape. While strong Gorilla Tape does not have the tensile strength provided by such reinforcing fibers. This feature would then allow Gorilla Tape to be employed in a number of other applications where it could serve as a structural element instead of merely a bonding medium.

Good tool though a bit pricey

I have been doing apartment maintenance for over a decade and have caulked hundreds of tub surrounds vanity and kitchen counters etc.. I have tried my finger other caulking tools a credit card (expired!) etc. and this is by far the best caulking tool I have found. The reason I gave it only four stars is the cost. Seems a bit pricey.



I have a few suggestions about the product as well as one (the last one) for using silicone caulk in general.



First do not apply too much caulk when you run the initial bead. How much is too much? See my second suggestion.



Second practice. Run a consistently sized bead of caulk use the tool and then scrape away the caulk and toss it. Do it again. Yes I know you are "wasting" caulk. If you want a professional looking job waste some caulk by practicing. You will find the appropriate bead size through practice. Obviously the correct bead size will be determined by the edge you are using. The larger the edge the larger the bead size. Practice. Also begin with a small hole in the caulk tube nozzle. Not enough caulk? Cut a slightly larger orifice. Remember you can make the hole larger however you cannot make it smaller.



Third keep the tool perpendicular to the surfaces. If you have seen the ad on TV pay attention to how the demonstrator holds the tool.



Finally fill a spray bottle (like a windex bottle) with isopropyl alcohol and lightly spray the bead and the business side of the tool. It will make the tool glide easily over the caulk. (You can use this trick with any caulking tool including your finger.)More detail ...

Good mask at a great bargain

Aside from recent challenges expressed by others in obtaining N95 respirators I ordered a 30 pack from Deerso at $13.98/box and received them promptly. I should hope that anyone reading these reviews realizes that the bulk of the negative feedback is not product related but just people caught up in the swine flu hysteria.



As stated this is a good mask for a great price. Anyone familiar with the various types of respirators on the market will realize that a N95 is a far better mask than those marketed as "dust masks" you find at the hardware store. Those sell for $2-$5 for a two pack these provide better protection and at $13-$15 for a box of 30 is a much better bargain.



The mask is perfect for anyone with alergies and/or asthma which pretty much describes me. They are firm to the touch as opposed to the soft cloth green surgical N95's (which cost more) and have dual elastic straps that hold tight throughout a long day. They are perfect for the garden cleaning around the house & yard changing the cat litter doing anything with flour and especially dusting & vacuming. Compared to softer masks this mask actually breathes better and I don't sweat under it as much.



Like all masks the metal nose clip is very helpful and perhaps this is just my imagination seems to hold better. Meaning it doesn't give way as easily as other brands I have tried where you have to keep pinching it every so often to close the gap over your nose. This is a big issue to anyone like myself who wears glasses and they keep fogging up if your mask doesn't fit well.



As for my two cents on whether or not this is a good "flu mask" N95 means the mask will prevent 95% of particles from getting through. The only way to be really really sure is to get a N100 mask and have it be a full fask mask as germs can just as easily get into you via your eyes and ears. Is anyone seriously going to wear one of those all the time?



For me a N95 mask is better than a regular mask and falls into the category of "good enough" (for me).



Overall this was a great buy.

Reliable comfortable lightweight

I've used this respirator for over a year when using very strong cleaning fluids at home and airbrushing enamel lacquer and acrylic paints (some of them highly toxic). It has performed extremely well and has not let me down--I have not smelled or tasted any of the fumes at all. The mask is comfortable to wear for short or medium periods of time (up to two or three hours or so in my case) and is fairly lightweight--I have not needed to wear it for longer so I can't say how comfortable it would be after eight hours. It does not obstruct my vision and is compatible with my eyeglasses (a big plus for me). The straps are easy to adjust and allow you to get a good airtight seal while maintaining comfort. Breathing through the filters is a bit hard but easier than with other respirators I have worn. The only drawback I've had is moisture condensation inside the mask but I have yet to find a respirator that doesn't have this problem.More detail ...

one stroke is enough

Not a day goes by that I don't use these gelcaps ever since my stroke 6 years ago. Not only that but now I also purchase them for my mother. who just turned 80 in July.
